We decided that red is a much better running colour for me so Kate can actually pick me out of the crowds. Because this was a Scotland run there were a number of people who ran in kilts. Kate really wished I'd brought the kilt that she bought me in Scotland a couple of years ago with me out here so I could wear it too. I wasn't as heart broken about that.
The $18 registration fee was the least I've ever paid for a run but there was still a shirt and food after. Oh, about the food after the run, what else would you expect after a run in New York than bagels and New York apples. There were also canvas bags with the a Scottish flag on them and filled with SWAG advertising Scotland.
This video is from the start line. Kate said it took 15 minutes for all the runners to cross it. I show up in red at about 29 seconds.

$18 , that is cheap. Sweet.
Did kate feel right at home with her fellow Scottsmen?
Did this one count towards your 9 races?
Jason only runs in the qualifying races so he can get them checked off as soon as possible. I loved this race. It is just so much fun to be there with all that action going on. I'm serious about getting his kilt out of storage for next year!
